Government announces new appointments across key ministries

In the energy sector, Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi appointed Christopher Odhiambo Karani to the Board of Directors of the Kenya Pipeline Company Limited, replacing Eng. Edward Musebe.
The government has announced a series of appointments and reappointments to boards of state agencies through various Cabinet Secretaries, as detailed in Gazette Notices dated May 23, 2025.
Agriculture CS Mutahi Kagwe has appointed new members to key institutions under his ministry. Eng. Edward Musebe has been named to the Board of Trustees of the Commodities Fund for a three-year term.

Kenneth Ndung’u Mburu, Joshua K. Koskei, Joyce K. Kioko, and Bernard M. Wakhungu were appointed to the Board of the Agricultural Finance Corporation, with Hassan Mohammed Haji reappointed to the same board.
Mohamed Muktar Noor and Silas M. Kilingo were reappointed to the Pest Control Products Board and the Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service, respectively.

In the education sector, Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba appointed Adan Abdi Hassan to the Council of the North Eastern National Polytechnic, replacing Rashid Kassim Amin.
